Summary
Senior Frontend Engineer with 12 years shipping production web products in React and TypeScript. At DEPT I built the Triumph Motorcycles parts finder micro-frontend, and since 2022 I have taken three products of my own, kacet, Banburyshire and blot.tools, from idea to production. I specialise in codebases that stay maintainable: design systems and component libraries, content platforms on Next.js, Sanity and Craft CMS, and turning a rough brief into a shipped MVP. I own the frontend end to end, from architecture and tooling through accessibility, performance and release, working closely with designers, backend engineers and stakeholders.

Experience
Senior Frontend Engineer
Jun 2022 – Present
- Founded and built kacet.com, a freelance marketplace, from concept to a deployable MVP: Next.js and TanStack Start apps in a Turborepo monorepo, Supabase for auth and data, a Storybook-documented component library, Resend for transactional email, deployed on Vercel
- Founded banburyshire.com, a local guide and content platform: Rust compiled to WebAssembly on Cloudflare Workers, a custom PostgreSQL backend, a bespoke design system, and sigmx, my own micro frontend library, handling all client-side interactivity in under 10 kB
- Ship production React, Next.js, Astro, Sanity and Craft CMS builds for founders, agencies and product teams, typically owning the frontend from architecture through to launch
- Build content-heavy catalogue and marketing platforms with reusable component sets, editorial workflows and SEO-ready structure so non-technical editors can publish without engineering help
Frontend Engineer (Contract)
Jun 2022 – Jun 2023
- Built Sanity and Next.js sites in React and TypeScript for content-rich client platforms, creating reusable components and editorial workflows with the content teams, which enabled faster content publishing and reduced maintenance effort
- Migrated legacy client codebases to Sanity, cutting technical debt and making content and product changes cheaper and safer to ship
- Worked directly with designers and client stakeholders to turn visual direction and information architecture into fast, accessible pages
Frontend Engineer
Jun 2021 – Jun 2022
- Built the customer-facing Triumph Motorcycles parts finder as a React and TypeScript micro-frontend using Vite and styled-components, integrated with .NET catalogue APIs, and delivered additional micro-frontends for Jotun, enabling customers to locate parts more quickly and improving the navigation experience
- Led development of Silentnight’s design system and component library, defining the reusable UI patterns and accessibility standards the wider team built pages from
- Worked with backend teams on API contracts and with product and QA on release delivery, code review and testing practices across enterprise client work
Frontend Developer
Jun 2019 – Jun 2021
- Developed and expanded the design system and component library for bnn.de, a German regional news publisher, removing duplicated frontend code and speeding up feature delivery
- Built and maintained Craft CMS and WordPress catalogue sites with accessible, responsive components for a portfolio of agency clients, delivering faster page loads and higher client satisfaction
- Standardised templates, CSS patterns and editor-friendly content models across content-heavy sites to improve maintainability and stability
Full Stack Developer
Jun 2014 – Jun 2019
- Led development of an internal Laravel ERP and manufacturing platform covering operations, stock and production workflows, which became the company’s core operational system
- Built and maintained the Magento 2 e-commerce storefront, improving product discovery, reliability and feature delivery across the sales funnel
- Worked directly with business owners and operations staff to translate requirements into working software, delivering a user-friendly interface that sped up task completion and ensured data models supported long-term maintainability
